Our Founder: Matt DiFrancesco

Matt DiFrancesco, the founder of Ardor Construction, has been passionate about sustainable construction since he began framing houses on ski slopes in Vermont in 1999. In 2003, he moved to New York City and became a general contractor. He was certified by the Building Performance Institute and founded NYC Green Roof and Landscape, a pioneering green roof installation company.

Eager to escape the city hustle, Matt relocated to the Hudson Valley to insulate and air seal homes within the NYSERDA Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program. Reconnecting with his roots in framing, Matt established Ardor Construction to build and insulate high-performance homes using advanced systems and materials.
